Lovers is an ongoing artistic project by Marija Strajnić (1986), who is the author of all its content — drawings, designs, photographs and videos, unless stated otherwise.
Lovers are illustrated, sexless beings with only two fingers on each hand and foot. They appear in various relationships and situations, reflecting both intimate personal experiences and shared emotional states.
The project began as a private visual diary of a long-distance relationship and gradually evolved into a broader exploration of love in all its forms — its tenderness, contradictions and weight, echoing the idea of “love and other demons”.
Over time, Lovers have appeared across posters, publications, exhibitions, collaborations and campaigns with individuals and organizations that resonate with the same emotional language. From this body of work, the Lovers.rs brand emerged — bringing these ideas into physical form through clothing, prints, fanzines and objects.
